Any ideas how to 'thicken' the door rubber seal so it seals better?

hi all

my car makes a faint, but audible, high pitched squeak near my shoulder when the fan speed is at high and all the windows/sunroof are closed.

It seems to be air being forced out, and I've pinpointed it to a 4 inch section of rubber which seems to not be making tight enough contact. Tried the paper test and compared with passenger side which is nice and tight.

I don't want to bring the door in anymore, so was planning to 'bolster' that section of the rubber seal. However on this design it's not easy! I've tried using rubber pieces of various thickness, and even 4mm silicon tubing but it doesn't stop the noise.

Has anyone been able to push out their rubber seal (just 2-3mm) using something? Please share the info..

yeah...but their solution is to try to bring the door in further. It's already about 2 mm in from the edge of the rear panel so it's not flush...
