Hi guys i need help and access to VACOM. I have an APR stage2+ GTI mkv and my Menu button on the right of the steering wheel (switihng between audio/trip info) does not work. Instead of going to the dealer and risk the chance of voiding my warranty for good or other future major warranty work, I have read that its best taken care of through VACOM.

So can any kind forum member in Sydney help me out ?

    1. Its VAGCOM, and stands for Volkswagen Automotive Group COMmunication.

    2. when did it start? do you know it'll fix it by changing a coding setting? links/proof?

    3. PM Funny, he'd be your man. but it'll cost you a bottle of wine.

It's actually VCDS. We who know that, should start using the name VCDS. Vagcom is an old term.

I stand corrected, but its widely know around the traps as VAGCOM (Ross-Tech: VAG-COM). Its like saying I need to "Hoover the loungroom" or hand me a keelex, rather than using the correct term tissue. However, I'm not sure if there is an equal product out that can do what Vag-Com can do?

Keelex? I've never heard that term in the 20 years of living on this planet
