My parking sensors go full warning (constant beep and fully filled in visual display) on the front of my Jetta on wet days when nowhere near the proverbial brick wall. Its intermittent. Doesn't happen on dry days.
Anyone else experience this? Can I have it fixed at my next service ? ; or will I have to learn to live with it protecting me from raindrops? rory

You can't do anything about it, any buildup in front of the sensors will cause problems so either live with it, disable it, park in a different way or check the front of the car before you drive off when it's wet (or any combination of these).

You could try putting some wax or sealant on the sensors to help stop the water buildup.

Thanks Maverick. Might try the wax. Anyway it seems to turn off with a touch on the button. I'll live with it.
