Golf 2.0 tdi manual ...various issues

    Golf 2.0 tdi manual ...various issues

    I have got a Golf 2.0 tdi, Comfortline, ESP, 03/07, 4000km.

    The issues are:
    • When changing gears, occasionally a slight 'clonking' noise can be heard (is this normal 'play' of the transmission?, or could it be just my driving)
    • The left hand windscreen wiper occasionally rests, protruding slightly above the bonnet. (Goes to full rest position when ignition is on)


    Any comments most welcome.

    Maybe a Golf driver in the Adelaide area would like to compare cars?

    The clunking I think is you style or a serious fault!

    The wiper will rest when on a 'waiting' point above the bonnet when on auto and go bak to hide behind the bonnet when it is not in used after a 10 odd second period.
