  • My car nice and shiny (mainly thanks to AusScare's knowledge in washing cars )

Haha sorry that it doesn't stack up to that red Jetta.. Maybe it'll happen once I get my TFSI

I love your car's developing hotness. Not to mention, CLEANliness.
Now that you have the great lights, which really improve the front, IMO, would you consider a black VW badge?

      It's coming along very nicely.
Add fatties to drop it. Shouldn't be too hard to find some ballast pax!
Bizi's Jetta TDI: Blue Graphite w. factory leather & tint, plus + Enkei Racing NT03+M + Yokohama S Drive 18s, Koni FSD, Neuspeed coils, GTI RSB + brakes, InPro mirrors, VW navi, Modshack. Come for a drive through the twisties on Saturdaze.

I've thought about the black badge but I dunno.. Kinda like the idea of reppin the Dub

Thanks for the kind words, it actually doesn't take much to drop it. Had 2 rather lightish girls in the back the other day and got this result:

Nice job with the tinting.. Black tint always looks great on a white car.

Are those plates personalised? If so, is 91 your birth yeah? Also, any future plans for the oil burner??

Yeah just turned 18 the other week.
Not too sure what I'm gonna do next, I'm seriously considering getting it Bluefinned but the extra torque with the DSG is a worry. On the outside probably some OEM 18s, a slight drop and possibly replacing the rear bumper with one of the Euro ones - can't remember what it's called... Might have been the R-Line one. My bank account already hates me so it's gonna be a while...

Not a worry at all.. I'm running 400+NM torque on mine, and I'm considering an even bigger turbo...

That thing is insane and quite the sex... I wasn't too keen on the yellow until I saw it in the metal (I've seen WABBIT driving around my area a few times, saw it the other day in fact).

VW quote 320nm torque from the 2.0TDI stock but their numbers are usually understated - most people are getting around ~335nm stock and the Bluefin adds around 75nm... I know the DSG won't implode the second I start the car but it still concerns me. It isn't very hard to get wheelspin and the axle tramp that comes with it in the TDI either (when my DSG isn't being a bitch anyway) so bumping up the torque will only make that worse.

Wheel tramp sucks bad, I'll give you that. Dogbone mount fixes that up very nicely though. It's not perfect, but you can push it a lot further before it happens (and when it does, it's nowhere near as pronounced).

Even the stock car is a bugger off the line. The more herbs you get out of the engine, the more fun it is at speed though. Mine'll spin on kickdowns into 3rd gear. Crazy.

I should have been clearer before hand, I was told this by a certain GTI tuner in melbourne.... so i have no evidence of these cars.
Could pretty well be BS bro

Let's not confuse power at the wheels vs at the crank. Fair bit of loss through the transmission. From what I understand Guy's car made 220-230kw at the wheels, that's pretty respectable (or around 260kw-ish at the crank?). The bloke you were talking to was probably talking HP, not kW.

I know a tuned K04 should be fine (I have one) and that turns out over 400nm, and does it real early in the rev band too.

The Garrett GT2871R's provide more power in terms of kW, but from the graphs I've seen, the torque peaks are pretty much the same (on regular fuel). Peak torque just comes in later and lasts longer. Power comes in pretty much the same, but just keeps on going up. Another 50kW or so over the top of a tuned K04. Again, at the crank.

For those on K03's, meh I wouldn't even spend a millisecond worrying about it.
