Mechanic/Workshop in South Sydney

Seeing as my car is almost due for its 15 000km service I would like suggestions for a mechanic/Workshop in South Sydney who knows their MkV's. I would prefer someone in the Sutherland Shire but am willing to travel (but not to the other side of Sydney). I have been there done that with dealerships.

(Before anyone says it, I have looked in the recomended reairers/parts suppliers section and searched as well.)

I have had Muller & Muller at Lakemba suggested to me, anyone had any experience with them?

I've always been happy with the service at Camden GTI. My Jetta 2.0T lit up its exhaust temp light last week and they could get me in next day to sort it out, while
Barloworld Mascot & McGrath Sutherland were saying two weeks at the earliest.

I use Steve (mentioned in other threads around here), he works at a VW dealership, but does private work on the weekends. He services my Polo GTi and will be doing my MKV R32 when it is due. Really competitive on pricing, knows his stuff and can source all the parts etc for you. 0414 579 538 give him a call and have a chat to him. Based at Abbotsford, with plenty of cafes etc around to pass the time if you want to wait.

I know you said you have had it with dealerships, but aside from the lead time I have found McGrath at Sutherland to be excellent. I speak to Nicholas, he is the VW service advisor and is really quite good. If you haven't tried them and can't find a good alternative, give him a call.

Muller and Muller are good, they have been doing it forever I take my aircooled and my GTI there, they are also APR Dealers
Paul is the Man to talk to there
Its not flashy but they are honest repairers

+1 for Steve. You won't find many better VW techs than him.
