  • Suspension Fitters Melbourne (Sth/Sth East)

    Hi Guys,

I have done a search but can't see any recent recommendations for Suspension fitters in Melb. I am importing Coilovers and Sway bars, and was wondering where VW experienced suspension shops are. Or am i better to go to a VW place ie Audvolks/Volkspower or the like. Any idea on reasonable indicative labour/fittment prices ( i know fronts a bugger) would be a bonus.

    Thanks in advance.

    stormshark,

i have just spoken with J&F Motors in Richmond about the same thing - expect $1,000 + for fitting, alignment, and adjustments.

Made up of - $99P/Hour, 2 hours p/corner, $88 alignment. Say another hour or 2 for sway bar fit.

The VW places you mention should be able to handle install + alignment i would think.

Take it to Lucas, he installed mine and a few other cars from this forum.

Then get an alignment through Micky at Tyrepower Hawthorn

Tyrepower Hawthorn does not have the facilities to do wheel alignments. They take it to Bridgestone down the road for alignments.

If you are in the South East, you can take it to Advantage Suspension in Moorabbin. Do not have personal experience with them but have heard good things. Another alternative would Tru Track in North Melbourne, not quite South East though. Ralph at Tru Track is really good but charges an arm and a leg for the service. However, a complimentary alignment is included 5,000kms after installation.

Thanks very much peoples, seems fine choices to consider, very helpful. Will let you know what i decide.I'm In the process of deciding on Coilovers based on Excellent Reviews on here- either HPA or KW3, but can anyone confirm that the KW3's result in a lower ride?(which i want to minimize/don't want as i'm in the provinces) thanks again for all suggestions!
