My car took close to 3 weeks from when it landed to when I could pick it up. It probably depends on how many cars the dealer has on the boat to do the pre-inspection on.

Good luck. Hopefully your dealer will be quicker than mine was.

Red may be the devils colour, but this car is pure heaven

Bet you're getting heart flutters every time you think about it, Angry Shot.

(I know I would be with an R32 so close to my doorstep.)

And once you've rolled "Bremerhaven" off your tongue ... you'd have to try for "Nurburgring" wouldn't you?

                  bit of envy here.
when i was looking at the jetta, someone took an r32 for a drive - man the exhaust note was unbelievable........

re 1 April i thought the same - i'll probably turn up at the dealer and find out it will be Reflex Pink instead of Silver (although Germans aren't known for their sense of humor)

funny you mention waiting for a baby - my first kid is due 8 Jan 08 so i can actually answer that question :

no, the wait is worse for the car. however it does have some advantages :

                    1. when the car arrives i won't have the inlaws around wanting to drive the new car
                    2. when the car arrives i will choose to stay awake so i can drive it instead of being forced awake on another persons (read baby) schedule
                    3. when the car arrives i will only have to change the oil every 6 - 12 months instead of changing nappies every couple of hours

the only thing i wish i could to is take paternaty leave when the car gets here

also maybe i should check what the warranty on the baby is....

Yeah ... if they ask how long you'll need ... say "About 5000 kilometres should do it ... Oh ... you meant time. Three weeks."
