When i bought my mark V GT it only had one key the previous owner promised to find it and send it to me, Well after 6 weeks and being advised by Penrith Vw it would cost me in excess of $450 Ive decides just to get a transponder key done by PRV Mascot and also at St Marys NSW They have their own VAG and can get the code off the car ,although this key is not a remote to unlock the door you can use the door lock it is guaranteed to start your car and the good parts is it will only cost $140, also i have another old transponder key 3 button and if it can be done he will reprogramme it for free at the same time , Thats a saving of over $300 for a spare key which you might never need but you just might.
