High KM MKV GTi - What to pay?

Hi all,

I'm interested in the MK5 GTi, but the kms are fairly high , but i like the extras its got.

Do you think they are asking way too much for a car with that high kms?

Would you buy a car thats done such high kms?
I mean even if its been well maintained and runs well (which is the most important thing) it would be real hard to sell later yeh?

Hey,

that is pretty high ks for 4 years. The price sounds a tad high to me but dealers always price higher than private. I know in Melbourne dealers were happy to negotiate when I was looking, 2nd Hand Market seems pretty dead.

I bought a 2008 tornado red with almost 12 months of new car warranty about a month ago in melboune for under 30 grand same specs, lots of paint chips but overall condition was good, but that was private sale and under Market. High ks for it's age, just under 70000ks in 2 years.

I saw a fair few minus the leather for low 20s with under 100,000 ks to that.

Didn't see the sat nav! Has it had the timing belt changed?

It'd be interesting to see if many people start getting problems after getting a few ks. Anyone know how long the turbos last on them?

Li21, im in the same position as you but i'm only looking at year 2007 thou ...
the high mileage don't really concern me as my only preference is 4 doors.
Can do with/without leather, sunroof, dsg/manual. As long as is low 20s.
I also have a car to trade in and hopefully i can get good deal from it.
