Paint chipping off power window switch.

Hello,

Anybody have a solution to repair the paint the power window switch?

The black paint comes off very easily.

I've noticed it on a lot of VW cars.

Seems like rubbish paint/plastic to me.

Do you still have warranty.
I recall a thread sometime back and from memory fixed under warranty.

The original power window switches on my Jetta '06 had that problem but they were replaced under warranty with the newer switches (I also think with better paint/coating) and now don't have such problem

Yes, they're a common problem.

As mentioned, warranty will cover them depending on the age of your car, and the part numbers have been superceeded a few times as they've been improved upon.

definitely works for me also a good way to touch up the paddle shifters on the steering wheel...
