    R32 in QLD

2006 R32, Sunroof sat nav Only done 60,000kms for $33,000. Anyone know anything about this car? Why is it so cheap! Seems suspicious.

    Hey mate,

The r32's have taken a hit. i was looking about 5 months ago and they were in the mid 40's, i do believe they will keep coming down in price. also QLD always seem to be cheaper for reasons i do not know.

Yes i have noticed that they are dropping in price too. However this one seems to be about 7-10grand below market price. Must really be desperate to sell it. Will be interesting to see how low he drops the price before it sells.

Prices of R32 will continue to drop in my opinion much like the MKV GTIs. Even though to us VW enthusiests the R32 is a beautiful car but in the general eye of the consumers they will think that it is an 'outdated' model as VW annouced they have a R now as it is more 'eco' friendly than the 3.2L V6.

Could be coming off a lease and the $33k is the residual he needs to pay out.

Coming off lease is a reasonable explanation as the timing would fit for a 3 year term.

One sure way to find out is call and ask.

I'll be in the same boat come November with my MY07 GTI (5dr DSG, Leather, sunroof), $22K if anyone is interested.

The seller clearly states why he's selling it.

"PRICE REDUCED, FINANCIAL REASONS FORCES "

                "RELUCTANT SALE"

                "NEED TO SELL QUICKLY"

And yes the lease does sound like a very plausible reason.

Far out $22k? How many kms has it done?

Why are mk5's cheaper than mk4's?

They have been overseas for a long time. Its because theyre less common. Supply vs demand is what dictates resale values and there will be a flood of used mk5s on the market if there arent already.

                        platzie,

Come November it'll have 98,000kms on the clock. All highway driving, as my commute is a 60km drive each way.

                        Hence the price.

Hmm 98,000kms. Probably a few too many . Whats the service history like?

that's a tough residual. Mine is significantly less than that.

An 06 R32 with DSG could have the potential to have some serious $$$ needing to be spent now its out of Warranty. If the DSG was hammered, could need a good spend to get it back on the road.

Does not mean it does, but it could...
