Anybody here got one and how useful are they to you?

Yes, I do have one but they are more for the UK models and do not have the DSG in it for example. But it does give you a good knowlege of the systems, specifically the early MkV with all the small capacity engines.

Unfortunately, I'll have to get it shipped from overseas so can't have a look at it before I choose to buy it or not.

FYI- I have a GTI DSG.

Doesn't matter too much about the DSG, I won't be touching that.

Yes it is generally quite useful, but as mine is still under warranty I have not done anything to the car as yet.
There is enough detail to do all things a home mechanic is capable of and will be applicable to your GTI.
