  • Need the bar code on GT radio manual

Can some one please give me the bar code numbers on the back of their Golf V radio owners manual, I asked the Spare parts if they had one but he said he needed the bar code as there was too many variations in the golf .
    thanks

Tell him what radio it is, and he'll be able to work it out. It's most likely an RCD 300.

If not, I'm sure someone on here can supply the part number from the back cover.

Ive already done that but he said he needs the bar code, gave him my Vin but it doesn't show what kind of radio is in the car , He said if some one can give the the code off the back of the book he'll be able to get the right one.
Some one here will have the same radio with MP3 player .

Sounds a bit suspicious to me. What's the difference between the spare parts guy ordering ANY Golf V radio, and someone giving you the barcode of a radio that's different to yours?

He works in spare parts, he will be able to get you the same radio you had

To me, it sounds like you are trying to get a new pin code for the radio.. whether its because you lost it the original pin code, bought a radio from the wreckers, or are in posession of a stolen radio.

Are you for real or something how is a radio manual going to give me a pin for a radio i dont want a barcode off a radio i only want the bar code off the radio manual as i dont have one , i bought the golf GT privately and the radio users manual is missing from the folder.
I really take exception to your actuations, if you read the post it said i need the bar code off the back of the book, not a radio?

Ours does not have a barcode on the back of the RCD 300 manual. It has Art. Nr.: 271.556.RA3.20 Englisch 10.2006. The manual includes MP3.

I wasnt accusing you of stealing a radio. I was merely saying that there seemed to be a hidden agenda to you wanting a barcode from the book.. For the best help, you should have given more information in the first place.. but now that you've clarified, if you tell him the model of your radio, he will be able to get you the manual.

Or you can buy it from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-RCD-300-AUD...item5d2a399f8c

Just beat me to it Idaho, I have a GT TDI, original factory fit was an RCD300, just looked on mine and my book has the same numbers on the back. I've since upgraded to an RNS510. For what it's worth unless you desperately need a manual for it, due to the limited functions and features of the standard RCD300, I'm sure that any questions on settings etc.... can easily be found on the forum or in turn answered for you by a fellow forum member

Apparently you didn't read my first post where it clearly states off the back of the radio manual ?

Its ok its just that the book is missing and the previous owner cant find it, eventually i'll have to get Vw to take out the radio and scan the radio for the pin .
I would just like to have it so the folder has all the manuals Thanks again

271.556.RA3.20 is the part number to order it through your spare parts department.
