    related question....

where is the interior air temp sensor for the climatronic? Is it part of the sensor next to the dashboard diffuser, or is that only for sunlight?

Speaking of which, do the Aust market cars have an additional sunlight sensor (like on the rear view mirror?). I tried to block my dashboard sensor to test the lights/AC but no change.

However when I drive into my garage the car lights do come on, so I know the sensor/s are working...but don't know where they are!

    cheers

In the centre of the On/Off/Dual button. Intake air is also measured at the return air vent. There are temp sensors in each supply air duct as well.

That is two sunlight sensors (for left/right)

Yes, not sure if it's used for clima (suspect that it is) but it's def for the mirror dimming and headlights-on.

Really? I've never had any complaints with it. I know people complain that it doesn't blow super cold air but that is because it's trying to maintain a temperature, not freeze your nipples off.

My back seat passengers also get enough cooling if I leave the centre vents and indirect-air-diffuser open. The rear vents are just to ventilate the sweaty crotch of the centre rear seat passenger.
