  • DSG issues?

Test drove a GT DSG this afternoon, hugely disappointed by the way it moved off from a standstill. The owner claimed that VW has said that it's operation normal but I found it close to undriveable.
When attempting to move off there was no drive at all then a huge shudder and away we went. On one gentle uphill start it flatly refused to move until I removed my right foot from the throttle and tried again, then bang we had drive and moved off. Surely this is not normal.... have spent quite a few kms at the wheel of a GTI with DSG and it was faultless.
    Any ideas???
    Thanks.

sounds like I was lucky that someone else snapped it up yesterday... feel sorry for the buyer. Owner claimed he had complained to VW (austral) and they said it was normal???

Some had issues with wear in the Mechatronics unit, while others got away with just a software re-flash.
