  • Replacement Cost of Plastic Cover in Boot

Hi All, I know it's a long shot, but does anyone how much it would cost to replace the plastic part in the boot? I'm assuming this is referred to as the Boot Trim. It's quite a big piece of plastic to replace. I'm hoping it would cost not more than $500 to replace (including labour). Pic inserted below for reference.

Went to inspect a MK5 GTI earlier today but this plastic part had a hole in it due to a golf club mishhap! Just wanted to know an estimated cost to replace and factor that into the offer. Rang a few dealers but they all close at 12pm on Saturdays and are not opened on Sundays Thanks in advance for your help

It shouldn't be too much. Expect it to take no more than 15 mins to replace.

If you're talking about item 1 in this picture, the US retail price is $60. Figure about twice that much in Oz.

I recently replaced one on mine, about $160.oo
Fitted it myself, only takes 10 min.
Allow 1/2 hour charge from the dealer.
They only clip in and clip out. The relacment comes with new clips.
