Yes,the Golf 5 is the hatch,and the Jetta is the sedan version.
Same platform.

From what I've read, the Jetta TFSI or 147TSI has the Golf V Sportline suspension not the GTI's and would have to agree as my wife's Jetta TFSI feels softer than the GTI's I've driven. But you could very easily fix that
