  • Wheat Beige Colored Jetta - Resale?

    Hi all,

Im looking at a used Jetta, and its Wheat Beige in color.
It ticks all the boxes, but the color.. i'm not so sure of.

Its very hard to come by a fully optioned manual.. but .. the color I hear doesn't attract the best resale value as it is not so popular?

I don't mind the color myself, but is it b=perceived as a less young, more mature owner's color?

    Thoughts?

"don't mind the color myself, but is it b=perceived as a less young, more mature owner's color?"

So why wouldn't a 'more mature' person buy your car 2nd hand?

IMHO you should buy the colour YOU like best, not the colour the car's future owner likes best...

Caveat: Unless of course, it's a Mercedes - in which case, for some strange reason, it simply MUST be silver (go figga).

I don't see a lot of it on the street, but as been said it should come down to your own choice if you are happy with it, or if you would feel embarrased to "be seen" in it

A valid point about resale value but then if you intend to keep it for longer why worry for it now? And that is the case with any used car that you are limited to the colour / featured options of what is available in the market so just keep looking for other car/colour that you are most happy with.

Not my choice of colour and the dealer even said that I'm about 40 years too early for it, but as others have mentioned, go for the colour if you like it. As long as you enjoy the car, the future isn't important (IMO).

I reckon they look sweet, especially with coded bumpers and a nice set of wheels.
Very stand out as it's not the usual white.

And black headlights. Any light coloured car with black head/tail lights look sweet.

My Jetta was Reflex Silver, but my second choice was the Wheat Beije,as its a diffirent colour, and wanted a Metallic, but not one of the Dark ones.

I say GO FOR IT,it looks very classic, just like the Jetta...

The joys of owning a dark coloured car. My next Jetta will be nothing but white.

Silver is better than white for hiding road dirt.
                        I'll go back to silver.
