  • how hard do u you think vw is gona laugh at me..

3 yrs comin up on the car and thought may aswell try get vw to fix some stuff. The car is stage 2+ with a few other bits and pieces TAI, WALK, S-Shift and FMIC..

Soo engine mounts are shot, strut tops sound like theyre gone again, subframe is clunking like crazy and I think the radiator just started leaking and maybe PCV. Wonder if they'll fix anything or just write me up a big fat bill like they did last time?

                Hi Chris,

This thread might interest you. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f98/...ums-47204.html

New guy joined this site recently who works for Austral VW and says that if anyone needs anything cheap, send him your VIN and what you need.

Don't know why anyone would go to Austral to start with.

Anyway can't really complain with a heavily modified car, bit hit and miss with warranty.

cheers for the offer mate but I dont think theres much that can be done.. they've already and will just continue to insist that its not under warranty because 'I've modified the car outside the factory specs' ah well.. Best thing I can try do is get parts cheap.

Not sure what VW are like with mods, but with my Mazda MPS the service manager always fixed things when they broke even with some subtle mods, their rationale is that, "If the Modification caused the failure then no warranty, if the mod was not to blame then warranty is OK and Mazda Aust will cover it"

                      Good luck mate

Problem is all of those problems could easily be attributed to the mods quoted, except for the radiator.
