  • Dynolicious - Can the results be considered accurate?

Just got dynolicious and took my r32 for a run after calibrating. Not sure how accurate the results are. First run was 0-100km/h 6.3s, 2nd run said 5.18s! I know its fast but not sure its that fast! These runs were both using launch and in manual mode changing up when I could feel the power tappering off. I tried launching in 's' mode and redlining it but got about an 8 sec! It seems to run out of puff at the top so changing up manually works better.

    Any thoughts?

Haven't you answered your question already?

There are too many variables that can impact the results of dynolicious for it to be considered accurate.

Point taken. It was a good exercise as it made me realize that 0-100 times are pointless as this is not how you drive a car. I felt guilty having thrashed it like that. I never drive my car like that. I know the car is quick but there are far more other qualities to the drive that makes it such a good car!

How did you mount your phone? Just sitting in the cup holder with the top slid across to hold it into place? I have seen reviews online saying how accurate it is in comparison to a g-meter but personally I think it's a bit of a gimmick. As Mav said there are way too many variables including the smoothness of the road which can use vibrations on your iPhone which may or may not change figures in my opinion. As you said, you did two runs 6.3s and 5.18s which is a huge difference in results

leaving it in sport actually returns a better time over the 1/4

I took my R to the strip few weeks ago - best time i could get was 14.34 which kinda hurt as i thought it would do better

I did 6 runs trying different things

          - LC and S 14.38 and 14.43 and 14.54
          - LC and manual - 14.84 and 14.89
          - H/brake and manual - dont bother!

LC and foot down with S gave me the best results, i was a little supprised thinking LC and manual would be best option

just cat back non res - i dont think it records my 0-100km/h will have a look at the slip tonight - at the end of the day i didnt buy the car for straight line performance - its all about the corners
