Will you install weather shields on your cars?

i think they are useful but sometimes they just kill the look of the car.
what everyone think?

Had this disucssion with Dermot this morning at the showroom. We have them on the .:R, and IMHO I reckon they are great. They are practical, and contrary to opinion, ours have (finally) stuck on since August 2008. The first set, I installed. They didn't stick. So I went back to the dealership, and they were replaced, and fitted. Haven't had a drama since.

Would definitely get them again.

I bought mine installed when I took delivery, 4.5 years ago & haven't had a problem with either coming loose.
The advantages I have found is the glass can be left down slightly when parked in hot weather without being obvious.
In winter the the shields help to keep rain out when the window is down a bit.
One negative point is the car is very slightly harder to see out of. I would buy again.

I love my weathershields. But on a Jetta / Passat they spoil the look as they break up the window chrome trim

They look fine on a Camry but not so good on the Golf unless you're a retiree and also option the mud flaps, sheepskin seat and steering wheel covers and put a few hats and pillows on the parcel shelf.

Mud flaps should be compulsory, all that crap flicking off your rear wheels scratches my paint.

you forgot the bead seat covers, cardigan with corduroy elbow patches, and the RNS510 locked into an ABC AM station.

I love my weathershields. I find that when it rains, you can't have any smidgen of window open without the shields because of the contour of the roof, the water gets in, but with the shield, its no problem. It does tend to spoil the look a little bit, but for practicality's sake, I opted for them.
