  • Genuine VW Parts

    Hi all,

I've started scouting around for some spare parts as my 60,000km service is due soon. Would anyone have any recommendations of where to go? A good mate of mine recommended South Yarra VW, and I've called up and the quote they gave me was pretty impressive incomparison to that of Mcgrath Liverpool.

The parts im looking for are:

    Timing belt/Tensioner/Water pump:
    South Yarra quotes: $96.65/$204.85/$105
    Liverpool: $307(Timing belt/Tensioner)/$129.50

    Condensor/Compressor:
    South Yarra: $1343.20/$412
    Liverpool: $1600.00/$494.17

    Prices dont include GST.

Those 2 are my main concerns, hence the reason why scouting out quotes, so if anyone could recommend a place where they know of that can offer a lower price on genuine parts, that would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for the help!

buying anything from Australia will cost more than buying from overseas. Try OEM / Performance Parts for Volkswagen, Audi, and BMW - ECS Tuning they have great prices and shipping is usually OK too.

For example, I bought the new Revision F coil packs from ecstuning for $80USD for 4.. over here, they were asking $90AUD each. Shipping cost me about $40USD.. so for the price of buying 4 coil packs here in australia, I bought 4 coil packs, a camshaft and an engine mount insert.
