Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Require A Parts List, or Part Number.

Was just wondering if anyone had a link to a parts list. I had an issue where the cover from the rear windscreen wiper cover was broken off. This did not bother my much but it did bother the Cop as he was following me as I tried to wash my rear window and ended up squirting his windscreen.. WHOOPS.

Anyways I called two VW dealerships today and explained what I needed as was told that I needed to give them the part number. I pretty much told them I need the cover part from the rear wind screen wiper, it broke off and when I try to wash my rear windscreen I squirt water 5-10 metres behind my car. They could not understand what I was after.

    Any help would be AWESOME

    this should sort you out.

Its from an 07 model though. Might pay to make sure that there were no model year changes. They should be able to tell via your VIN number.

Wow. It would be so terrible to have the water shoot out so far back. Imagine if you had coloured water!

In all seriousness though, I hope you sort out the issue.
