Exchange the wheels ?

Just a thought guys.
If I were to exchange the 15" wheels that come with the Comfortline 2.0 TDI for the 17" offered on the Sportsline would anyone have a guess as to what difference I might pay to the dealer.

if u want to upgrade id keep the current ones as the dealer will just steal them from you anyways. and buy something aftermarket. 17" creates a much better look than the 16s anyways. and aftermarket will probly work out cheaper anyways.

I reckon 16 inch tyres are more expensive that 17s too. Making them cheaper to run in the long term.

If you do get dealer supplied 16s or 17s, make sure that you stipulate that you also retain the original 15s. Otherwise (as common practice goes), the dealer will keep your 15s for free - you did pay for them when you bought the car after all. I have not yet heard of a dealer offering a 'buy-back' or 'discount' on the original wheels when the options are bought (be very keen to hear what your dealer's response is to this).

OEM is great stuff in keeping with the original look of the car, but is expensive. Aftermarket stuff is a lot cheaper, but be prepared for positive/negative feedback on your choice (no rice here )

I pre sold my rims back to the dealer at the time of order. Told them i was looking for some aftermarket rims and said i would give them 1st option. They came back with $1500 for a set of 18" R32 rims...paid for half the new set.

Always good to negotiate prior to placing our order if you can, if not, most dealers will always buy OEM rims back. Just never buy some elses rims from a dealer...you will pay for it. What they pay $700/$800 for, they charge $1500/$2000 for later on!
