It is a bitch of a job and if a mirror glass cracks quite expensive. Best getting it done by someone who has done this . Had them istalled on my Golf and the end result looks alot better than original.
Ive done a few of them now and never managed to damage a mirror. You just have to be careful when you pry it off. The plastic clips are stubborn but pretty tough.
My first ever one took me about 30 minutes but every time after that has been about 10-15 minutes.
I just finished mine and as others have said, it's a bitch of a job! I stripped the crap out of the screws on the left mirror so I had to work around it.
