  • Service advice - MkV 2.0 DSG

Need some advice on servicing a MkV Golf.

The car is out of warranty so instead of the stealership, we are using an independant workshop (auto dynamics in VIC). It is the 60,000km service which I believed was a big one. Barloworld want $1400 for the service including a change in the DSG fluid. Auto Dynamics have said the DSG fluid doesn't need to be changed. Opinions?

If "Auto Dynamics" whoever this lot are, are saying that the DSG doesn't need to be serviced at 60,000km. I would very much steer clear away from them. Go to a reputable VAG independent garage such as Audi Spares, Volkwerke, Volksaffair etc.

Go to A&B Automatics in Dandenong. They are the Victorian VW/Audi specialist for the DSG gearbox.
