Where is the oil filter

Attempting to do a DYI oil change, bought the filter and oil already, it's late can anyone tell me where the the oil filter is situated and how I would get to it?

I have a MK5 Pacific FSI 2.0

You'll have to take the splash guard off under the engine in order to see the oil filter.
