  • APR Prices

    Hi guys

Pretty soon I'll be looking at getting an APR 3" RSC Turboback for my TFSI jetta and I was wondering if there is anyone that sells it for less that $2800? Only reason being is because I have asked the 2 places who are the official distributor of APR products in NSW (European Autotech and Autowerks) and they both quoted me $2800 for the full Turbo Back exhaust.

Some other websites of tuning places in the United States have their RSC TBE for 1.3K USD....add to that customs tax and shipping, it still falls about $500 short of the $2800 asking price here in AUD....

So just wondering if there is anyone or any place that offers a discount or where I can get it for cheaper...

P.S I've already PM'ed guy_h about this and just awaiting on his response.

This has been covered before and has always ended badly, I can give you a number of reasons why its cheaper in the USA.

    1. Labour is lower in cost, and products can be produced more cheaply.
    2. Economies of scale, they sell in much larger volumes than here.
    3. No importation costs or taxes withing the USA.
    4. The wider distribution network and number of franchies.

Add just those up and you'll see where the price comes from, its not price gouging its just business.
