Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Digital Speedometer

hi all, i picked up my new jetta a few days ago. from memory the demonstrator i drove had a 'digital speedometer' reading in the MFD (not 100% certain). i can't seem to find this in the MFD on my car.

can someone tell me if there is such a feature available on the 2010 VW Jetta?

    thanks.

Ive seen this in a MKvi Golf.
    Not sure re Jetta.
Have you cycled thru the options?
Maybe ask in the MKvi forum?

On my Mk6 I found it by accident after 1000km.

In MFD DAta you have to turn on Digital Speedo - not sure if its the same in the jetta.

Mum's Tig has this (as well as the Mk6 loan cars I've had). You just have to go to the screen that has consumption, time etc. and scroll until you find the speed. Well that's the case on our car/Mk6s.

Alternatively, you can do the a/c trick to have it appear on the drivers side temp screen (if the MY10s have the same Climatronic as mine).
