Guys, One of my number plate lights have gone out so I did what everyone would normally do and replaced it, HOWEVER it still refuses to go, so just to confirm I put another new bulb in, only for that one not work either...... so I have either a wiring issue or a fuse issue...... tracked all the fuses but it's not clear in the manual which fuse covers the number plate lights..... any ideas guys??

Anyone you know that's got a VAG-com? They would be able to run for faults.2002 Volkswagen Bora V5 - 2007 Mazda 3 GT - 1998 Ford Contour Sport - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0T - 2013 Volkswagen Passat 130TDI - 2015 Ford Escape 1.5 - 2016 Subaru WRX - 2018 Volkswagen Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon

Hmm ok.. Sounds like a wiring issue then.
Perhaps take the boot trim off to check out the wires that run to the lights, see if there's any abnormalities between the faulty one and the one that works.2002 Volkswagen Bora V5 - 2007 Mazda 3 GT - 1998 Ford Contour Sport - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0T - 2013 Volkswagen Passat 130TDI - 2015 Ford Escape 1.5 - 2016 Subaru WRX - 2018 Volkswagen Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon

Make sure the bulb meets the minimum wattage. I remember having the same issue with my park lights after trying to install standard LED parkers. They were rated less than the minimum (cant remember exactly how much) and the car computer thought there was something wrong with them and shut them off instantly, returning a CEL on my dash. I returned them and bought normal parkers which work perfectly fine._
