I need recomendations on who can do a pre-purchase inspection on a MkV Golf GTI in East Melbourne. (I have done a forum search but to no avail.)
The car I am looking at only has 30 000km on it, but the owner has said it's been hit in the back at some stage (enough to do a radiator on an Astra) but only needed the bumper fixed (he had no idea if it was replaced or repainted). I know someone who had the same thing happen with a MkV Golf, it started with a replacement bumper and then ended in big $$ repair bill from the boot floor being out of shape, which mis-aligned the suspension,etc etc.
The car has been serviced at Volkspower recently, I am considering speaking to them to see if they are aware of any issues with the car, but would like an inspection for peace of mind.
I will probably be looking at the car this Sunday (11th April) if it is not sold by then, any advice and/or recomendations or offers of help will be highly appreciated.
