Sorry to trouble you lads but would anyone have recent information regarding ncap or ancap ratings for the jetta? I believe the Golf achieved great results.

As far as i have seen, the Jetta has not yet been tested. The last update i saw was for the 28th March 07 and it still hadn't been done. The Golf V was awarded 5 stars for front and side impacts and a total of 12 stars when tested. At the time the highest ever result outside the luxury class segments. So they are a safe bet in more ways than one!

Shouldn't the Jetta (since it is a Golf derivative) be roughly the same as the Golf? I would have thought possibly even safer since there is the boot there?
