Mk5 Gti known issues

Since my Mk4 is gone, after several days of research, most likely I'll stick with VW family and get a Mk5 Gti. So far I haven't followed much info in Mk5 section and abit lazy to search, is there any know issues in Mk5 Gti ? (like window regulator, coil pack, water pumps as in Mk4 Gti)
Please share your experience if you can.

Now that you're moving to a real GTI, you need to know it's a GTI, not a GTi.

Main issues are heaps more performance than MKIV, early models are prone to aircon failure, diverter valves may fail early, DSG mechatronics units are temperamental.

Wise to have extended warranty, IMO.
