Just picked up my Golf GTI Pirelli - 5dr Black with Nav and Park sensors, only 7500kms and only 6months old.

Very impressed.

Now just got to work out what the best way to for Bluetooth and iPod connection.......

For iPod go the Dension gateway 100. Full control via the steering wheel and the trip computer is the iPod screen. Easy DIY too.

wow congrats!! That's a good price as well, i guess what i paid was just about right! ($38k for 3drs same options). You traveled all the way to Tassie? aren't you from Sydney?

Have fun driving it, oh and also surprised there are so many with low kms and so new! Mine was 8 months old. Someone else bought a pirelli from Tassie with low kms, we must of got the very last batch.

Kinda jealous as well lol i preferred a black one as well! Ps. how did you find that one?

Ps... just looking on carsales, there is a yellow one going for 37k with 12000km on it.

Oh and just curious are there actually 2 versions of the pirelli? eg. my08 and my09?

plus is it just me or are cars cheaper in places like Tasmania? because there are less people lol

And why would you need ipod connection, when it comes with a hard drive, plus a aux connector in the compartment

No I live in Tassie so it was a god send as I usually have to travel to get my ideal car!!

I just did a search in the Hobart paper on the off chance and BAM there it was!! Tassie usually has higer prices due to the limited number of cars and people are too lazy to travel to get a great deal from the mainland.

I should probably correct myself when i say iPod i realy mean iPhone!

Oh - and by the way I plug my iPhone straight into the AUX port... you can't control the tunes from there but it works alright to begin with ... until you get your music onto that hard drive I guess...

Also - I think the Pirellis were first released in 2008 but were the MY09 version the whole time. There's no doubt some would have been sold in 2009 as well I guess. They're all the same though - just dependant upon age and additional features.

I remember checking in the boot of mine and it is complied in Australia in either June or July 2009

I think mine was complied in 2009 as well... i have to check... actually how do i check? lol

As for the price, i think it goes either way... people in Tassie are probably too lazy to go to another state to buy, but not many people would be willing to go to tassie to buy either, so for a seller i think it would be hard to sell, hence the low price.

7000km is that from a dealer? or private sell? i thought mine was cheap because it was at a dealer but not a vw dealer...

Buying one that is compiled as 2009 usually costs a bit more too if I remember correctly, I bought a MY08 demo with 17km on the clock and got it for much much cheaper than a MY09

hmm so what is the difference between my08 and my09?? not much i'm guessing...
