VW specific mechanic in Northshore??

Ive got an end of 05 GTI and need to get it serviced, its only got 40k on the clock. I don't really want to go to a dealer (and pay through the roof) so does anyone have a vw specific mechanic in sydneys north shore they can recommend?

Any help would be appreciated

So i called up the chatswood service centre for my 4 year major service and they told me it would be $1140, excluding a timing belt change! i asked how much more if i needed a timing belt change and he said another $980 and that they'd 'recommend it'.

So i spoke to Derek at European Autotech and i was told the 4 year major service would be $350 and that i do not need a change of timing belt any time in the near future, and that price includes a courtesy car for the day!

SO I booked it in.

haha yeah ive got a silver GTI, black rims with a thin red line around them.

I actually live in longueville but no ones ever heard of it so i just say lane cove ! haha

What car do you have so i can keep a look out?

atm im driving my old car which ive just sold its a 99 Audi A6 but im hoping to have a GTI shortly.. most likely black.

So many of us in Lane Cove - have actually seen yr car, too Mike, wheels look good. Try City Performance or TCCA/European service & tyres on Hotham Pde at Artarmon - I believe they're good.

Not since I got the R (only had it a few months), but they did some work on my previous car (Bora 4Motion) and were good.

Really? there is 2 (3 including mine) that live on my block/ street.

Try Killara Garage (Pacific Hwy, Killara) and Pacific Motors, Pymble.
Both specialise in European. I've used Pacific Motors before
