first fuel up

just got through the first tank of fuel, got 770 ks i think that is ok when running in. 2 days of driving around town and 3 days of highway

Fuel consumption

This will improve as the engine loosens up. Also (no slight intended) you will have to learn to drive her because to get top performance in fuel economy with diesels you drive them differently to petrol engined cars and you won't be able to do this until the engine is at least partially run in. My TDI with 10,000km on it is currently doing over 1000km to the tankful and this will improve.

After you've done about 5000km and followed proper running in procedures get back to us and we'll give you some driving tips for both economy and performance

my misses was happy to get the wheels because she thought the standard tdi looked like a fat barina she wanted a gti but no good for her as she does a 1000 ks a week she wantd a gti with a tdi engine
