  • loosing power in gti ????

Hey just wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem i have ?
I have a mk5 gti with giac tune and vf inlet and a dumpipe and was pulling 22 psi and car was running good but now it wont even beat a standard gti and cant get more than 19 psi and it drops to bout 13 psi ???/

dont know what the problem is but it is lacking performance and not boosting up properly but have no check lights coming up ? I am thinking it might be the pcv valve but not to sure and would like to know if anyone else has had this problem or not ?

are you still running the standard diverter valve? They are prone to failure even on stock cars.

I have a forge dv so dont think that it will be the problem unless it has died .....

If you're losing boost it could be a leak somewhere.

Also check your intake pipe is connected properly.

Best idea is take it back to your giac dealer or mechanic for diagnosis

depending on how old your forge dv is it could possibly be the cause of the problem. Those dvs require periodic maintenance otherwise they can stick.

Youre only a couple of PSI down so its strange if you feel your car is slower than stock.. Might be something else at play as Big Yellow says. Might pay to get someone to check it out that knows how to properly diagnose the issue.

I had the same issue when I went with the forge dv.. I thought it was faulty, so I returned it, got a brand new one along with a Revision "D" valve. I used the revision "D" and everything back to normal.

Only problem now is I have a brand new Forge DV that is being neglected hehe
