Is 2006 GTI a Mk V

I have seen a 2006 GTI 5-door with DSG and was wondering if this is the same spec. as the latest Mk V or is it an older model?

Slight variations throughout the years, however it is still a MKV.

Ditto - First MKVs came out in 2005 I believe. They were mostly the same up until the MY08 when some changes were introduced. Do a search for "differences" in threads and you'll find a few.
