anyone side mounted their slimline plates?

finally got my plates just wondering if anyone has mounted their plate under the headlight rather than in the usual place? And if so any pics?

I guess it could be done if you don't want to drill holes in the grill.

Remember that plates have to be visible from a 40 degree angle from the front of the car.

+1, looks like you want an EVO (would be faster too). The normal position isnt blocking the FMIC, so guess it's down to personal taste.

I'll have a play around with it.. plates are black on white so it suits the rear being on the white bar.. but just thought it would look better mounted on the white section on the front bumper stead of the black, GTI grilles look so good plateless.

I reckon it looks good on the r32 above, only thing needed is the dots removed from where it was mounted before.
