Adding extra options to your list may not be helpful right now but I thought I'd point out that I just picked up a MKV Pirelli with 7500ks for $39 000... so there's another option in your price range...

Another vote for driving both, but the awd is definitely a big positive point, also depends what you want to do with the car.

Since the R32 is still new, just add extended warranty and you're on your way.

Get the R32 mate, its a much nicer car to drive. Its Unbeliavable how different these cars are. I have driven both (MK5s tho) and i'd go for the R32 any day. If you want a modified car get a Skyline

          I'd go for the R32.

The MkVI GTI is a really nice car but more and more recently I have realised that the MKV R32 is something special.
So much so that I am wanting to sell my A3 2.0T and get into one.
For the exhaust note and AWD especially.

oo contest. R32 for the awd and exhaust note. In real world driving its got tons of torque for overtaking and power for real world fast zipping in and out of traffic.
