  • R32 bodykit on GTI

Please dont shoot me if this is frowned apon.

But im wondering, if the R32 front and rear bumpers will fit onto a GTI without modifications? Also, are parts hard to source and expensive?

  • #2
No, you will need new rear exhaust tips, so thats a modification..
also it wont be cheap but yes the parts are easy to source and its easy to get done.

The conversion to the R32 front and rear bumpers is not a cheap one, but they do bolt directly on. The largest change required is the exhaust as stated above, an OEM R32 exhaust will not work, so it would need an aftermarket cat back that uses the R32 style exhaust tips.

My R32 is for sale if you want one!!

Seriously there are other mods i'd do before cosmetic ones and doesn't sound like a cheap exercise anyway.

All the lower plastic bumbers change over very easy, i removed my standard GT but had to get a plain one with no holes or cutouts to fit my new Milltek exhaust (took the plain one to local plastic welder, they cut and moulded it to fit the new twinpipe outlet) and it looks good, performance + also.
You can fit any, standard no holes, GT is twinpipe on left, R32 if you have R32 exhaust, or like my twinpipe, 1 each side.
            Good luck n rgds

I think it screams I couldn't afford an R32 so I made mine look like one.

By the time you do it, you might have a GTI that looks like an R32....and you might have even spent enough to get an R32 in the first place!

Probably more worthwhile doing other cosmetic mods than this one or even lowering and a wheel package if that's your thing.

ECStuning? Is this an overseas mob? I pressume those are US prices and then you still need to factor in a HUGE freight cost right?

Anywhere local that you can get these?

I think a lot of GTI owners have done just that and spend money on mods when they could have got an R32.
