  • Globes replaced under warranty

I noticed one of the number plate globes has gone dead recently.

I immediately started thinking about finding a replacement globe and doing it myself. Then I wondered if they would be covered under warranty??

I certainly wouldn't waste my time taking my car to a dealer just for that/ but it is due for a service....

    What do you think?

just ask them ... you have nothing to lose. some dealers may replace them for nothing but as its a wearing/electrical item i would think it is not covered by warranty.

years ago i had a fuse blow on my forester for the brake lights... called in to a local dealer and asked them if i could get it replaced - fully prepared to pay for the replacement... they got me to drive into the workshop, they replaced the fuse and tested the brakes then sent me on my way.
