MkV GTI Changes along the years?

Howdy all.

Have there been running changes to the MKV Gti from 05-09? I did a search but couldn't find anything about this.

How could I tell if a 08 plated car is a MY08 or MY09?

I note with the MK6 there is standard & premium bluetooth, is that the case with MK5 if so what is the difference?

My (limited) understanding is the following:

MY05 - MY07 are largely the same
MY08 introduced a Full Screen MFD (Multi Function Display) and some models also received an Aux input in the centre console.

More details of the MY08 changes can be found in this thread where I asked some questions about it: Here.

The full screen MFD seems to give you this additional functionality - but I'd be interested to know if there was more:

- Ability to control how many doors unlock from the remote by default
- Ability to adjust how long the headlights stay on when you "come home"
- Music Info and Sat Nav integration (if you fit the RNS 510)
- Telephone controls (if you fit a VW car kit)
