  • Installing LED day running lights?

I was thinking of getting some day running light strips installed on my GTI,I understand that alot of people aren't a big fan of them but i think they look good.

I don't really trust my self to do it my self. So was wondering whether anyone had had it done? and at what cost? whether they could recommend an auto electrician in sydney for it?

I'm thinking inside around the edges of the current headlights (yes, before you say it, like the audis) , but if anyone has any info on doing it at all that would be great.

you do realise that the head lights are a sealed unit,
    (to stop condensation etc)

some people have put them into an oven in order to melt the glue that seals them just to get them apart.

You really want to do this?

no i didn't know that Kaceb thanks for the info, doesnt seem worth the effort doing it that way.

Those headlights on the link look pretty awesome but i think their a little pricey for what i was looking for.

Hey !! I got these installed on my GTI.

          http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-GO...Q5fAccessories

I got mine from the USA tho.

Installation was easy. Take of old ones put in new ones.
Trying to get the HID kit installed was another tin of worms.

PM me if you want more info

            Jorge,
They look absolutely mad! btw: I thought that DRL's were automatically switched off when headlights/parking lights were switched on? What position will the light switch be in when only DRL's are on?

Is the beam pattern correct for countries that drive on the left?

              Regards,
