Sunglass holder popping open

Hi all,

OK really serious question here The sunglass holder (in the overhead panel near the reading lights) in my 2008 Jetta TDI keeps popping open and won't stay shut, and makes an irritating buzzing noise when it's open. Anybody come across this before? Any solutions to recommend (apart from just sticky-taping it shut, which I'm about to do)?

Take the car back to your dealer, they'll replace it under warranty and the sunglass holder will shut

x2, this is a known fault. I have had mine replaced without an issue.

Thanks guys, didn't realise this was a known fault. Will just get the dealer to replace it next time I'm in for a service.
