Has anyone fitted 19" alloys to their Mk V GTI, and if so what tyres would you recommend? I'm thinking 235/35/19 but not sure if they rub? The wheels are 19 x 8.5 with an offset of ET52.
The Goodyear Asymmetrics or the Bridgestone Adrenalins both top all the independent tests and both are a lot cheaper than the exotics like Michelins and Pirellis etc
Hey mate... wouldnt look much into the test results of the motor magazine. Their testing is pretty crap and plenty of inconsistencies with their test methods. Tell me how could a tyre be faster in the wet than the dry, not physically possible.

And what about the EVO magazine which spent days at a tyre test facility and tanked the F1 Assym best in every area and first overall and the CSC3 third overall.
The testing was performed on a Mark V GTI.
Unless there is a new tyre out that hasn't been reviewed yet the F1 Assym is the best all round tyre with the CSC3 close behind.
