Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'd choose the first, coz I like deep dish!!.

As a suggestion, whatever your preference, try to picture them with your brake discs behind them.

i think theres nothing dumber than a set of rims that you can see right through, only to see a set of undersized discs/capilers behind.

Make sure your happy with how they appear.

If your not happy, then two choices, 1./ get a brake upgrade as well, or two choose Rim no.2 which would show less of the brake setup

They would be easier to live with for cleaning, and keep in mind the dish wouldn't be as deep as that pic for our cars/offset (and would have a little dish which wouldn't be as good).

                First ones: 2nd place.
Second ones: You seriously want to clean them?
Third ones: Big Tick! A bit R8-ish, aren't they?

BTW, what's the damage for them?

                  G_215 M are $1498.00AUD
                  G-220 M are $1498.00AUD
                  G-FIVE M are $1,177 AUD

These rims are from America so i did the conversions too, the dollar is really good now so would be a good time to buy, also i didnt include shipping so that would be on top of that.
Yeh i really am digging the last rims the Amg style is very good looking. Thanks for everyones inputs

don't forget to add another 25ish% to cover your import duty, GST and local customs agency fees

Might be worth running the numbers on importing them as 2 pairs of wheels (rather than a set of 4). Although the shipping may be a little dearer, if you can squeeze under $1000 per parcel (gross cost), you may save a lot on Import Duty.

I'm certain other forum members have experience in this.
