  • Removing B an C pillar covers - R32

Does anyone know or have diagrams for removal of the interior B and C pillar covers in a MkV R32? I have searched but cannot find anything in the forums.
The vibrations and rattles (coming from the rear left, I think) when going over rough road or bumps is extremely annoying and disappointing for a 65k+ vehicle.

By removing these covers I am hoping to find loose cables etc that I can foam up or tape - will I find anything under those covers that I could actually do this to or am I wasting my time?

There's a C pillar trim removal post here:

Also POLARBEAR666 pulled his A,B+C's off to dye them - he didn't mention how, though...

Mine had a rattle that I eventually found inside the inner tail light - I believe it's not the 1st instance, so maybe pull out your globes and fish around for a loose piece of spring wire (that's what mine was)

    Good luck!

Okay, will def take a look at the tail light one.
I took a drive again tonight specifically to listen for where it was coming from..... and nothing...... but yet every other drive when I don't want it, it's there.

If anyone knows how the B Pillar comes off please let me know, and what I would find there that could cause a rattle

Take it to your dealer, get the foreman to go for a run with you and point them out.

Let them fix it, once you take the the trim off you'll get the blame for any problems. Plug it's unlikely you'll get the trim off without damaging or breaking clips so you'll need to have a full set on hand.
