American MK5 6 CD Stack Radios

ECS Tunning is selling VW factory radios Part no 1K0035180D for $39.95.
Although these unit look different to the RCD500 they appear to have similar functions.
Does anybody know if these units are compatible to the Australian MK5 Golf/Jetta.
At that price for a NEW unit and for those who are after a 6 stack CD player to replace their current RCD300 it might be worth a look!

the FM band and cd changer should work, but AM band will not work.

radios in the USA have different frequencies than here.
